Parents
I work with parents of children of all ages, from newborns to adolescence and beyond. Having a developmental perspective, I can understand the unique challenges you may have at each stage. As a parent myself, I have great empathy - nothing is as easy or straight forward as the books make it sound!
Whether you are managing a demanding career or adjusting to the role of a homemaker, I am here to provide nonjudgemental support, techniques, and tools to help you feel strong and confident in your role as a parent. I am also accustomed to working with families of all backgrounds, including divorced parents, blended families, and foster and adoptive parents.
Many parents I work with wonder if they need to hire a babysitter or have alternate care arrangements for their young children who are in the home during telehealth sessions. It is preferred that you have a private, quiet space where you can share your thoughts and feelings without distraction. You deserve to have an hour a week devoted to your own well-being! That being said, life often strays from ideals, and I am used to and comfortable with infants and small children being in the room and/or parents attending to care needs during our sessions.
